Perhaps surprising, the Scriptures have quite a few references to
stars/constellations in its pages:
1. Genesis 1:14 - "And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night: and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:"
2. Psalm 19:1 - "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork."
3. Psalm 147:4 - "He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names."
4. Job 26:13 - "By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent."
5. Job 9:9 - God ... "Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south."
6. Job 38:31,32 - "Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?" (Mazzaroth is another name for constellations)
7. Amos 5:8 - "Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, ..."
8. Isaiah 40:26 - "Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth."
9. Isaiah 13:10 - "For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened ..."
10. Matthew 2:1,2 - "Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him."
11. Acts 28:11 - "And after three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the isle, whose sign was Castor and Pollux."

These references are not spoken of in regards to any kind of warning as is given to those practicing astrology.
Scripture says that God has indeed numbered and named all the stars ... Whew! That's alot of names considering there are estimates for the number of stars in the known universe to be the number 1 with 23 zeros after it! The interesting thing about the names of the stars is that the names also have meanings.

~ WITHIN THIS VIDEO ~

Most of the information in this video was derived from 2 books:
1. "The Gospel in the Stars," by Joseph A. Seiss, 1882.
2. "The Witness of the Stars," by E. W. Bullinger, 1893. (This book can be read online at http://philologos.org/_eb-tws/)

The fascinating idea behind the constellations and star meanings, is that they are thought to portray "the gospel in the stars" and can be seen to coincide with many Scriptural references, often the prophetic.
This video is approximately 1 hour in length and will take you through the 12 major constellations of the zodiac (Mazzaroth) and their 3 decans each for a total of 48 constellations (star figures). There will be onscreen definitions of the names of these constellations and some of the stars within them.
Original background music and reading of related Scriptures throughout most of the video ... plus some added information bits and a look at how the constellations inter-relate among each other across the heavens.

SOME DEFINITIONS
1. The Zodiac ~ from "zoad", meaning - "a walk, way, going by steps," like Jacob's ladder.
2. Constellations ~ Star figures, also known as"signs", "faces", "houses", "mansions", "tabernacles" - collectively called "Mazzaroth" in Scripture (Job 38:32).
3. The zodiac or "Mazzaroth," is made up of 12 major constellations with their decans, 3 each, for a total of 48 star figures. It is said that they cover all the principal stars that are visible to the naked eye. Other constellations exist but most are modern in origin. They are not part of the primeval groupings, as covered in the video, but designate groups of inferior stars.
4. Decans ~ from "deck" - "a piece." The 12 major constellations are said to be divided into 3 books of 4 chapters each. A "chapter" is another name for a constellation and its 3 decans. The constellation story begins with Virgo - the virgin birth - and finishes with Leo - the Lion.
5. Ecliptic ~ The circular path of the earth traveling around the sun in one year. The constellations are arranged along this line.

~ ASTROLOGY ~
As for "astrology," the Scriptures make it clear that astrology is evil in God's eyes. He warns us in Isaiah 47:13 that astrologers and stargazers cannot save, and in Matthew 24:24, 25, Jesus predicts that "there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."
Astrology claims to use the position of the stars, planets, and birth dates to predict ones future. As it says in Deuteronomy 13, even if a prophet or a dreamer of dreams has some sign or wonder come to pass, (not that they even have a good record of doing this) if he causes someone to follow other gods - then the penalty was death.
The God of the Scriptures loves us SO much that even as good earthly parents love to be involved in the lives of their children, so does He ... and moreso ... since He made us and keeps us running day in and day out. He knows the real future as only the true God can know, and one tactic of the devil is to try to substitute a tempting lie in the place of real truth. He's very good at it too.
One good Scripture to remember: "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and He shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3: 5,6.
A simple example of the error of astrology is that it does not work for twins, born at near to the exact same time. It is easy to see that their close birth dates do not result in similar personalities or the same future as astrology would predict.
